4-Port 802.3af 10/100 POE Injector Hub

The POE-400 boasts 4 10/100Base-TX Fast Ethernet ports and  supports full 48V DC power to be able to power 802.3af compliant powered device (PD) such as wireless LAN access points, IP phones, and LAN cameras.
The POE-400 can support up to 70 watts, providing sufficient power to support 4 remote devices.

Data and Power

The POE-400 can support up to 8 RJ-45 STP ports. Half of the interfaces operate as “Data” ports and the remaining half operate as “Data and Power” interfaces. These “Data and Power” interfaces inject DC voltage into the CAT 5 cable allowing the connection between the Injector and Splitter to simultaneously transfer data and power.
Eliminate the Need for Additional Power Outlet Sources

POE-400’s PoE technology facilitates the deployment of network applications. With PoE, PDs don’t need to rely on power outlet sources that are oftentimes hard to find or absent. PoE eliminates the expense of having to install additional electrical circuitry to support network application. The POE-400 provides the easiest way to power your Ethernet devices, such as PLANET’s IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet Splitter (POE-152S) that can be paired with an Internet Camera (ICA-2500) or Wireless Access Point (WNAP-C3220).

Vendor Specification

The PoE-400 allows network administrators to have added control over their network application.  The POE-400 is compatible with our VoIP phones to build a VoIP telephony network in an office. The POE-400 is compatible with other 802.3af compliant devices like Cisco AP and POE switches installed 100 meters away. The POE-400 is compatible with third party devices compliant with the 802.3af standard.

*Power Over Ethernet hubs (PoE hubs) do not operate like Ethernet hubs and will not perform any switching functions
